Holiday essentials, or what should we take with us on a trip?
Share
Summer is in full swing, vacation time is here, and travel planning is the highlight of the season. For most of us, packing for a long trip is a nightmare, while for others, it's a pleasure and the first thought about the upcoming vacation. A very common destination is the seaside, whether it's Polish or foreign. However, regardless of where we go, the same question always arises: what should we pack for such a trip? What will we need and what is absolutely essential? What should we definitely not forget?
We're here to help, offering advice and tips on how to pack without going crazy, what to take to protect your skin while sunbathing, how to make your time more enjoyable while relaxing, and we'll also list a few basic categories for quickly packing the most essential items!
We can't pack everything we'd like (what a shame!), or everything we can remember at the moment... but a few little tricks and a well-thought-out strategy guarantee you won't forget anything!
Quick essentials in three categories…
To begin, we recommend creating a list of essentials (especially for the forgetful!) for your trip, which can be divided into a few simple categories . The first is definitely your travel documents, without which you can't go anywhere! So, remember your passports, ID cards, tickets, payment cards, and insurance documents. The next category is wardrobe selection, a crucial factor, as you can never be 100% sure what kind of weather you'll encounter. Therefore, alongside summer dresses, swimsuits, and airy clothes, you should also include sweaters, sweatshirts, and, of course, raincoats. Pack flip-flops, sandals, and sneakers, which will come in handy in case of inclement weather or longer hikes. It's a good idea to prepare for hot days, but also for cooler and rainier ones. Remember, of course, that the amount of clothing you pack should be proportional to the number of days you'll be spending on vacation, because unfortunately, no luggage is bottomless. The last most important group of things to take on a trip are, of course, medicines and cosmetics, without which we or our family members should not leave, so you should take with you a small first aid kit with dressings, plasters, hydrogen peroxide and basic medicines.
Some of us enjoy beach activities, swimming in the sea, and various other activities, while others prefer to simply laze around and relax with a book. This type of leisure activity, of course, can only be safe if you prepare your beach essentials in advance. Therefore, we'll share a few tips on what to pack for the beach to make your time more enjoyable and, above all, to provide your skin with adequate sun protection.
Things that should be in our beach bag!
1. SwimsuitsIt's hard for any of us to imagine a seaside vacation without the right outfit for sunbathing and swimming. At least two changes of swimsuits should be on our list. If one set gets dirty or simply doesn't have time to dry, an extra outfit might be necessary.
Sunbathing by the sea is probably the biggest and most enjoyable experience. However, remember that protecting your skin is paramount and should never be underestimated. Cosmetics designed to protect your skin from the sun's rays typically feature an SPF (Sun Protection Factor), meaning protection against UV radiation. We recommend our first sunscreen, La Playa . In addition to SPF 15 , which protects the skin from approximately 93-96% of radiation, it also contains a special complex that stimulates the skin to produce up to 85% more melanin. Furthermore, it has a lightweight formula, absorbs quickly, adapts to all skin tones, helps protect against skin aging, doesn't leave white marks, soothes and moisturizes, improves skin nourishment and softness, and has a beautiful, fruity, summery scent. La Playa has everything sunbathing enthusiasts need. But let's not forget about skincare after a long day of sunbathing. We recommend Body Tender , whose combination of skin-conditioning and moisturizing ingredients guarantees a feeling of incredible comfort. Emollients ensure a balanced moisture level and prevent signs of skin aging. Allantoin and vitamin E support skin cell regeneration and reduce dryness. Panthenol soothes irritations and improves long-lasting hydration, thus extending the life of your tan.
This is a very important point that shouldn't be overlooked, as spending time in the sun on a hot beach can lead to dehydration. So let's take care not only of our skin but also of our well-being.
4. Beach accessoriesIf you're spending most of your time at the beach soaking up the sun, remember to pack sunscreen, sunglasses, and a beach hat that complements both swimsuits and elegant summer outfits. A comfortable place to sit and lie down is essential for a successful day at the beach, so don't forget to bring a large towel or blanket, a beach umbrella, and a beach windbreak. Of course, not to isolate yourself from the rest of the beachgoers, which is the main purpose of people, but to effectively protect yourself from the wind. To avoid boredom on the beach and spend your time more actively, we recommend packing a beach volleyball, a badminton set, or various inflatables.
Many of us can't imagine traveling without a book or a favorite magazine, so it's worth carrying at least one copy to keep us occupied during inclement weather and avoid wasted time. However, if you think print editions take up too much space and are simply too heavy, we recommend e-book readers, which have a place in any bag and are also waterproof. For some, beach time without listening to music, watching movies, or taking photos is a waste of time... Some take music players, phones, and cameras, while others rely solely on smartphones, which have all these features and are more practical and functional.
A beach holiday is therefore the perfect time to catch up on cultural activities, for which we often simply lack the time.
We hope that our mini-list and a few tips will help you master the art of packing quickly and thoroughly, even if only a little. It's good to remember these most important things and carefully consider what you'll need. Even if someone managed to create the most detailed list, we ourselves have to decide what will be useful during our trip and what will be completely unnecessary and take up much-needed space in our luggage. When at the seaside, especially when sunbathing on the beach, don't forget about sun protection and proper hydration. Remember, too, that caution regarding water and beach activities is crucial, because vacations are meant to be enjoyable, full of relaxation and incredible memories, not a period of worries or accidents.
